D Armour of God

Greetings in d name of our friend, big brother and lord Jesus Christ. I am so excited this Sunday evening because I just defeated a devil yesterday. And I am going to be sharing a few things on how to walk in ur victory. U know d story in 2kings 13 vs 14-19 is very interesting. The bible said Jehoash, d king of Israel ran to Elisha when they were threatened by d Aramites. Then Elisha who was standing in d position of God laid hands on d king as he prayed for him. Then asked him to shoot some arrows through d east window, but d king only shot thrice and d man of God was mad with him for not shooting more. So he told him that they will only defeat d Aramites 3 times since that’s all he did.

In verse 14, bible said d king ran to d MOG and cried “My father”… that tells that to walk in victory, u must recognize that God is ur father and believe in His ability to help u. The MOG said open d window which means opportunities for success or victory. U know success or victory is simply defined as when opportunity meets with preparation. That challenge in ur life might be an opportunity for u to move to d next level. Isn’t it interesting that d MOG asked d king to do d shooting? That means that u and not God is d one who determine d level of ur success. U see, accusing d devil does not make life better. What makes life better is ur response to d written word of God.

This life is about d war of words, u can put on d whole armor of God but d quickest way to overcome and be victorious is through d amour of words. That’s what Caleb and Joshua used to enter d promise land. When everybody saw Goliath as too big and can’t be faced, little David saw him as an uncircumcised Philistines that can’t be spared. Face d challenge in ur life with such attitude and u will see a difference. U are a new generation: talk and live like it. May be u ‘ve being shooting some arrows into some faith projects but it seems nothing is happening and u are almost giving up. The spirit of d lord says to tell u to keep shooting. Don’t give up, as long as there are still arrows in d quiver; keep shooting. It may be an arrow of praise, prayers, giving, service or whatever it is…just keep shooting until ur challenges completely collapse.

Blessing to u Amen

Faith Comes by Hearing

Friends, I’ve been hearing about all kinds of attacks going on against the Body of Christ. For instance, many believers are having trouble going to church; others are having trouble praying; still others are having trouble trusting people. And many are fighting "the attack of the fifty-foot emotion," where the devil stretches the emotions like a thin, tight elastic band, trying to make them snap under the pressures of life.

Now, the truth is, the devil doesn't have enough power to snap our emotions. The Bible says that "greater is He who is in us than he that is in the world" (First John 4:4). And Jesus said, "Behold, I give you power over ALL--not half, not three-quarters--over ALL the power of the enemy!" (Luke 10:19) Nevertheless, a lot of believers break down under the pressure, storms, strife, and offenses that are flying around the Body of Christ.

We need to stay out of all that mess. Attacks are designed to get us off track so we'll wander out of God's will and into the devil's territory. And the only reason the devil is ever successful is that he finds something in us to use as leverage, which he uses to try to defeat and throw us aside.

You may say, I'm tired of fighting this good fight of faith." Hang on, friend, hang on. There are things you can do to strengthen yourself.

First, DON'T STOP PRAYING IN TONGUES as you go about your daily business. As you do so, you are praying God's perfect will for your life and everything that Christ is in you and has for you. Second, SPEND MUCH TIME IN PRIVATE WORSHIP. God is calling you into His Presence; for that is the only place you will find fullness of joy--His joy--which will be your strength. And, finally, LEARN THE PROCESS OF ASSIMILATION that causes the meditation of His Word.

Entering into times of assimilating the Word of God fills and occupies your mind with what God is saying instead of what the devil is saying and doing. Give your mind over to the truth that helps you defeat the enemy; focus on bathing your mind in God's Word and let His Word fortify your emotions with His strength.

But remember this: Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God--NOT by your preconceived ideas of what the World says. Faith doesn't come through your victories, nor does it come through your defeats. It only comes one way: BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD. Trust me when I say that I wouldn't hesitate to fill up my mind with the Bible. I wouldn't wait one second!

The truth is, one of the greatest things you can ever do is to assist the Holy Spirit, your Teacher, in assimilation--by offering your soul on the altar of God's Word. When you learn to offer your soul on the altar of God's Word for assimilation, your soul will work for you instead of against you, and a "day-and-night" kind of meditation will begin to take place that will astound you. People will begin to ask you, "How did you learn the things you know about the Word?"

To this end, I recommend that you start by reading the book of First John fifty times. If you will read this little book once a day, it will only take you fifty days to accomplish your goal. Then one day you'll glorify God that the truths of First John are the thoughts that are planted in your mind instead of the ones the devil is trying to put there!

I want to stress this point one more time: YOU CAN STRENGTHEN YOURSELF AND MAINTAIN YOUR VICTORY OVER A DEFEATED DEVIL BY PRAYING IN TONGUES, SPENDING TIME IN PRIVATE WORSHIP, AND FILLING YOUR MIND WITH GOD'S WORD. So don't wait on anyone else to begin his preparation, and don't wait to understand all the reasons why YOU should do it. Just begin by reading the book of First John fifty times. This is the way you prepare yourself for assimilation.

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT RIGHT DOING BUT RIGHT BEING

Romans 4:55 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.

What do you think righteousness is about? Something you do or something you are? Right doing or right being?

The Bible tells us that after Jesus’ sacrifice at the cross, God imputes righteousness not to those who strive to obey the law (Galatians 2:16), but to anyone who believes in His Son. Because Christ took our sins and gave us His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21), the moment we believe in Him, God treats us as righteous apart from our works or obedience. (Romans 4:5–8) This is new covenant righteousness — a righteousness that comes by faith and not works.

You are not righteous because of how morally upright you are. You are not righteous because you exercise self-control. You are not righteous because you read 10 chapters of the Bible daily. You are not righteous because you feel righteous. But you are the very righteousness of God in Christ solely because the sacrifice of Jesus made you so. When you believe this, your faith is accounted for righteousness.

And this is what God wants you to use your faith for. If you are righteous by your deeds, you don’t need faith. You also don’t need faith to know that you are sinful. But you need faith to believe and declare that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, in the midst of your struggles with temptation and sin.

For example, when you feel lousy because you have just shouted at your wife, God wants you to exercise your faith to see yourself as still righteous in the midst of that failure. This living revelation that you are still righteous will give you the strength to love your wife and reconcile things with her.

The devil may remind you of your foul temper and question your integrity: “How dare you call yourself righteous when you just did that!” Just ignore his lies and boldly declare, “I am not righteous because of what I have done or not done. I am righteous only because of the blood and finished work of Jesus at the cross!”

FACTS CHANGE BUT GOD'S WORD REMAINS

I am writing to share a few praise reports with you.

John 8:32 says

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Consider the cold, hard facts that these two people faced: A friendly church member of mine saw her X-ray which showed that one of her breasts was cancerous. A couple in our church read their medical reports which said that they are HIV positive. When such situations hit us and we allow the facts to settle in our hearts, we end up feeling greatly troubled. But when we let the truths of God’s Word settle them all, we will sense the Holy Spirit bearing witness to the truths that we are believing. He is the Spirit of truth. (John 16:13) He is not the Spirit of facts and does not bear witness to facts.

It may be a fact that you are sick. The doctors say that you are sick. The X-ray film shows that you are sick. But God’s Word says that by Jesus’ stripes you are healed! (Isaiah 53:5) That is the truth about your situation. What is the difference between fact and truth? Facts change, but truth — God’s Word — remains!

When God’s people choose to defy the facts and walk instead in His truths regarding their situations, the Holy Spirit in them will bear witness to the truths that they are believing.

The lady with the cancerous breast was about to undergo an operation to remove the organ. But praise God, she received supernatural healing and restoration as later X-rays showed two healthy two healthy instead of one! God had formed a new Brest for her!

The HIV infected couple received their miracle bundle of joy after a few months. Today, they are proudly living healthy.

The next time you are hit by disturbing facts, let God’s Word settle the truth about your situation. And as the Holy Spirit bears witness to the truths that you are believing, the facts will change and you will receive your miracle!

There is a weak faith and and strong faith, every one who has been born again has faith,in as much as you believe that Jesus Christ came and died. You confess Him, the word says with the heart one believes but with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

First the ability/act of believing that Jesus, is, was and is to come. Accepting/confessing Him has automatically introduced you to Faith and instantly there is an input of faith in you. Every one who confesses and believes has it. So what happens to your young or little weak faith? It needs to grow – and you can grow it until it becomes strong faith, great faith. And it grows by God's words. When you keep hearing and are established and his words becomes your foundation, an unshakable foundation, then His words about your life also remains unchangeable .His word does not change.

Blessings.

This was the Healing Festival in 2007 when God worked miracles through the Banquet Ministries and World Christian Bethel Church of Nigeria.

Lord thank You for Your fresh oil of anointing. I ask for a double portion of anointing for pastors and evangelists all over the world. Open the eyes, ears, minds and hearts of those who have not yet heard the Good News so that they may receive You.
